About Me
Patrick Houbert, a doctor in private law, is admitted to the French and Luxembourg bar (Avocat à la Cour). He started his career in 2001 at the law firm André-Plantavin-Lafran, known for its specialisation in intellectual property law in Marseille.
From 2006 to 2013, he worked as Legal and Compliance Director in the financial sector in Luxembourg, where he developed his skills in corporate law and finance as well as international tax law.
Since 2014, Patrick has been involved on a daily basis with complex international deals related to new technologies and intellectual property in the software and digital TV industries. Patrick also specialises in corporate and merger control and investment vehicles in his country of origin, Mauritius. He obtained his PhD in 2010 with a thesis on The Normative Instruments of Off-Shore Investments in Mauritius (Aix-en-Provence Law School).
Patrick is trilingual in French, English and Italian and has German language skills.
